Kiruthiga Thangapandi - The life journey of a female icon

Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world, said Hillary Clinton. That has been the case ever since our ancient days. Women are still bound by regulations and deprived of their basic rights in many parts of the world. Yet there are a few who break past the barriers, believe in themselves, and are regarded as an inspiration for their community members. One such person is Kiruthiga Thangapandi. Let’s read her life journey to understand how she impacted society for the better.

Kiruthiga hails from Cumbum, Theni. Ever since she was a little child she had been known for her academic brilliance. Topping the ranks among 100+ students was a cakewalk. Such has been her childhood days with awards, honors, and other societal accolades.

‘Bend the twig, bend the tree’, goes the saying. Likewise, Kiruthiga continued her outstanding education till her engineering graduation. She completed her engineering in computer science at Raja college of engineering, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. 

Beyond her academic strength and corporate ambition, Kiruthiga had a special affinity for serving her community. It’s because right from her early days she had witnessed the downtrodden community of Tamil Nadu and thought on numerous occasions what it would take to reshape their lives. Yet she believed someday she’d have the power and support to help the people. So, she had to pursue her corporate goals, at least for a while.

She joined Osiz Technologies, a software development company at Madurai, as a business analyst. In her 5 years of experience, she proved to be one of the essential pillars of the organization. When the organization realized the value of her irreplaceable leadership skills, she was promoted to the role of managing director. Since then, Kiruthiga has been efficiently steering the growth of the organization.

When she realized she was equipped with the necessary power and backup to serve her people, she joined DMK. In January 2020 she was appointed as the district councilor of Madurai South. Her dedication to work is partly because of her passion to serve people and her father-in-law’s interest in politics. 

Some of her notable works include helping the victims of the COVID-19 and Chennai flood. She was also supported by her well-wishers in helping out the victims. 

As a child, when she witnessed the struggles of common people who were deprived of basic needs, she vowed to transform her place with knowledge, skills, and ethical power. Today, she is armed with everything she had dreamt of to serve the community, and she is actively working on it every day, every minute, and every second.

Kiruthiga’s dutiful journey has just started and a lot of interesting things are lined up to witness in the upcoming years.
